Life at Liverpool just does not seem to be Andy Carroll's cup of tea.

The Gateshead-born striker joined the Reds in a mega £35m deal. Since then, the forward has been about as effective as the famously ineffective £50m signing that is Fernando Torres for Chelsea. In fact, at least Torres, under Di Matteo, seems to be showing some signs of recovery.

Meanwhile, Carroll, who endured a miserable return to Newcastle in Sunday evening's game - he was booked for diving in the opening minutes, missed a chance to equalise just before the half-hour mark and was hauled off for Dirk Kuyt late in the second half - has just made things a whole lot worse for himself.

According to a report in The Sun, Carroll was furious at being taken off and screamed profanities at manager Kenny Dalglish, before disappearing into the tunnel.

"It's a f****** joke, f*** off," screamed the striker at Dalglish.

Apparently he also earlier shouted at his former manager, Newcastle's Alan Pardew.

"I did not dive, you f****** c***," the frustrated striker reportedly screamed, after being accused of diving to win a penalty.

Meanwhile, Dalglish has sought to calm the troubled waters, by insisting the incident only proved how committed his player was.

"We don't have a problem with people showing their disappointment or frustration. When Andy went off and up the tunnel, he was disappointed at the way the game had gone, not necessarily for himself but for the team," Dalglish tried to reason.
