Nicki Minaj Breakdown: 'The Voices In My Head Told Me To Quit Twitter'

Days after she reportedly had a mental breakdown, Nicki Minaj has revealed that it was a voice in her head that told her to delete her Twitter account.

Opening up her resent erratic behaviour during her appearance tonight episode of the Graham Norton show, the US rapper said that she made the controversial move after "a voice" told her too.

Minaj tells Norton: "A voice in my head told me to delete my Twitter and that's what I did.

The 29-year-old explained that she hopes that her fans will wait for her while she works through her difficult time.

"I had 11 million followers and I hope they will wait for me. I reply all the time and get to know them by name and I have a really personal bond with them... not all 11 million, but at least 10 of them a day."

When asked if she will return to the social networking site the Moment For Life singer replies: "I don't know yet, I'm thinking about it. I miss my Barbz, please bear with me.

Minaj sparked breakdown fears this week when she went off on fans following the unauthorised leak of her latest album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded by fan site NickiDaily.com.

After blocking the site, she shocked her 11 million followers by tweeting: "Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good f***ing bye!" and deleting her account.

Her outburst cames hot on the heels of a trying week for the rapper who has been fiercely promoting her new album.

She also recently made public accusations that her father abused her and her family when she was younger, a claim her father has since denied.

Nicki Minaj's appearance on the Graham Norton Show airs tonight on BBC 1 at 10.35pm.
