"Fifty Shades of Grey" has got the world wrapped around its' pages. Even Hollywood A-list celebrities admit to getting hooked on the erotica novel.

Some have even expressed genuine excitement over playing the lead role of Mr. Christian Grey himself. Tinsel Town is surely filled with only the best hunks but not every actor can embody the 27-year old handsome and brooding entrepreneur. Here's a list of actors who should not play Christian Grey.

Author E.L. James has introduced readers to a world where S&M can go hand in hand with romance. Despite the heavily described BDSM themes, a hint of love and humanity is enriched within the main characters of the book, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

It is no wonder why the book continues to be hyped about by a lot of book worms. Regardless of being called "mommy porn", even men are hooked on the book and Ryan Seacrest himself admitted the book would serve as his guide.

So what makes the male protagonist, Christian Grey, so likeable? The 27-year old entrepreneur is described as incredibly handsome, intelligent and charming. Despite the business-savvy and brooding front, Christian has a darker side to his story which is behind the reason of his BDSM-nature. It all changes once Christian meets the female protagonist, Anastasia Steele.

A lot of Hollywood actors have spoken up on wanting to play the role of Christian Grey. While some actors have the potential to become Mr. Grey, some fan picks just don't make the cut or are close to overkill on playing the popular role.

Christian Grey was originally based on Edward Cullen of “Twilight” played by Robert Pattinson. Though it would be just appropriate to have Robert play Christian Grey, Pattinson acting out the role would simply be overkill. The 26-year old British actor already has a lot on his plate and playing Christian Grey should no longer be one of them.

Zac Efron may strike fans as the teeny bopper on “High School Musical” but that had all changed when Zac strut his stuff for “The Lucky One”. However, Zac may be lacking in the height department when it comes to playing Mr. Grey.

“Prison Break’s” Wentworth Miller may also pose as the perfect Mr. Christian Grey. Miller however is lacking in one fine detail – the hair. The bald look may fit him for “Prison Break” but not definitely a look for “Fifty Shades of Grey”.

“The Social Networks’” Armie Hammer would definitely fit the description as handsome, brooding and business-savvy but Armie is already in the running for another highly-acclaimed role. Hammer is up for the role as Finnick Odair and he’s got Taylor Kitsch and Garrett Hedlund as opponents for the role.

The Australian hunk of “Snow White and the Huntsmam”, Chris Hemsworth, was subject under humiliation when asked to read a few lines from “Fifty Shades of Grey”. Despite having the looks for the role, Chris is bordering on too shy to ever play the BDSM-addicted male lead.

Chris Hemsworth’s’ younger brother, Liam Hemsworth has also been included in the throng of actors who could play Christian Grey. Yet, judging from Liam’s past films, the Australian actor might not have the acting chops to portray the S&M 27-year old entrepreneur.

Patrick Dempsey may have well played the big boss and entrepreneur in “Transformers” but to be playing the 27-year old, Christian Grey, would be an understatement. Dempsey does have the physical attributes but he’s too old to even try out some S&M scenes.

Soccer superstar, David Beckham, has also been included in a few fan polls. Undoubtedly, David has the perfect looks but apart from being too old, David is no actor.

“The First Avenger: Captain America” brought to life by Chris Evans has been thrown into the throng of likely actors as well. Yet, Evans strikes fans and readers as more of Christian Grey’s older brother than Christian himself.

“Gossip Girl’s’” Chace Crawford has been named as one of the top contenders to play Christian Grey. Sure Chace may have shown some pretty great acting skills in the television stint but that wouldn’t be enough to warrant a good performance as the dapper-looking entrepreneur, Christian Grey, both in the business world and in the bed.
