Johnny Depp's Women Over The Years [PHOTOS]

It has been rumored for months but now it is declared to be official: Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have broken up.

The couple, who never married, confirmed their split in a brief statement given by Depp's publicist. The American actor and the French model have been together for 14 years and they have two lovely children, Lily Rose and Jack.

"Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children," Johnny Depp's publicist stated. The announcement marks the end of a romance that began in 1998 when Depp and Paradis met on the set of the supernatural thriller "The Ninth Gate."

Even though the couple never really got married, Paradis was recently spotted wearing a diamond ring which was described as the size of the Ritz according to the "Guardian."

For years, Depp and Paradis lived with what looked like an idyllic life by traveling between their island in the Bahamas, their villa near Saint-Tropez to France and their several other homes. In 2004, Depp told OK! magazine during an interview that a deep kind of love resulting in children cannot be planned.

"Fatherhood was not a conscious decision but now I have become the perfect example of all the paternity clichés I laughed at for years. I look forward to having more children. I'd have a hundred if Vanessa were willing," the actor shared.

However, rumors started to spread and circulate that the couple's relationship had suffered after they moved in to California from France. Just last month, Depp even denied the talk of a split. "The rumors are not true," he said. "I can't say enough about it not being over," Depp added.

Before that, Depp also had a long string of romances in the past. The actor married and then divorced makeup artist Lori Anne Allison. Depp was engaged to actresses Jennifer Grey and Sherilyn Fenn.

Then, Depp also proposed to a 17-year-old Winona Ryder back then while having a tattoo that says "Winona Forever" on his arm to which he famously had altered to "Wino Forever" after their breakup. Afterwards, Depp dated model Kate Moss for four years before meeting Vanessa Paradis.

The gangster thriller, “Black Mass” is the film adaptation of the New York’s bestseller, “ Black Mass: The True Story of an Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Irish Mob.” Written by Boston Globe reporters Dick Lehr and Gerland O'Neil, the book tells the story of Buger, a notorious mob leader who has been on FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List for over ten years.
