How to Install Jelly Bean Update on Droid Razr via Cyanogenmod 10 [GUIDE]
Motorola’s Droid Razr is the latest entry to the Jelly Bean party, as it gets the unofficial Cyanogenmod 10 update with support for Project Butter technology Photo: Motorola

Motorola's Droid Razr is the latest gadget to run Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), courtesy an unofficial CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) update with support for Project Butter technology. The Droid Razr isn't the luckiest of the smartphones though - it comes with a locked bootloader, which makes installation of custom ROMs a bit tedious. Nevertheless, Android developers are busy hacking the device's BootROM and we could see a custom ROM soon.

For now though, thanks to XDA forum member shiwuye12, the unofficial CM10 is now available for the Droid Razr with a smoother and faster interface, compared to older versions, in addition to features like advanced voice recognition, offline voice typing, a faster stock browser and a smarter keyboard with performance optimisation. CM10's proven track record, besides a full-fledged set of custom features, makes it one of the best unofficial Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM releases yet. It must be noted the ROM is still in developmental stages and may not be fully functional or devoid of bugs.
