Even though Gabby Douglas helped the U.S. bring home a Gold medal, the 16-year-old African-American's achievements did not stop some people from criticizing the gymnastic star.

The reason for the criticism? Her hairdo. One person posted on Twitter and asked why no one was going to London to do her hair. Most of the criticism of Douglas came from the black community, according to a Yahoo report. Some people said it looked like Douglas used too much gel to keep her hair in place during her rigorous routine.

Others said Douglas, one of the few African-American gymnasts to compete in an Olympics, should be applauded for her achievement and not criticized for such petty things as her hair upkeep.

Here's a look at some of the other most talked about Olympian hair styles in London.
