Fulham have announced that they have signed Dimitar Berbatov on a two-year contract in a deal believed to be worth around £5 million.
The destination of the striker had led to much speculation, with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson even suggesting that he could make a return to Tottenham.

"I do not know what has happened," said Ferguson. "He has not gone yet. I do not know anything about it.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he was at Tottenham. There are rumours going around. I do not think it is settled at Fulham."
After turning down a move to Italy, Berbatov has been handed the number nine shirt at Fulham and will look to secure regular first-team football under Martin Jol.

"I'm delighted to have signed for Fulham and I look forward to playing under Martin Jol once again," Berbatov told the Fulham website.
"As soon as I was aware of Fulham's interest my decision to join was an easy one to make.
"I'm impressed with the set-up here and the people have made me feel welcome. There is a close and personal feel around the club and I can't wait to get started."
Berbatov worked with Jol at Tottenham, with the duo enjoying a successful relationship which saw the striker go on to score 46 goals in all competitions for Spurs.
He then made a big-money move to Manchester United, scoring 56 goals in 149 games, but was left frustrated last season as he made just 12 league appearances and fell down the pecking order.
Berbatov becomes Fulham's second major signing of deadline day after Kieran Richardson made the move from Sunderland.
