10 Most Valuable NFL Franchises of 2012
Forbes released its list of the most valuable NFL franchises Wednesday and the Dallas Cowboys top the list, valued at $2.1 billion.
Compared to 2011, there are now 20 teams worth more than $1 billion dollars, which is up from 15 teams last season.
Of the NFL's 32 teams, only the Cincinnati Bengals lost value from last year, dropping from $875 million to $871 million.
Forbes valuation takes into account each team's revenue streams from merchandising to ticket sales, and also stadiums. The Minnestoa Vikings and the San Francisco 49ers both rose in value more than any other team, due to new stadium deals.
