Microfinance pioneer and Nobel laureate Muhammed Yunus will feature in a special episode of popular American TV series "The Simpsons", said media reports quoting his office.
"The Simpsons" is an animated TV series produced by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company.

The episode will focus on his efforts to alleviate poverty in Bangladesh and also focus on Grameen Bank's microcredit schemes, said The daily Star newspaper.

Yeardley Smith, who lends her voice to the main character Lisa Simpson in the series, is an admirer of Yunus and an active supporter of Grameen Foundation, set up by Yunus.
Yunus' voice has been recorded and the episode is ready to go on air, said the report quoting Yunus Centre.
