Has Tom Cruise found the perfect distraction in Cameron Diaz to get over his divorce from "Dawson's Creek" actress Katie Holmes?

The 50-year old "Mission Impossible" actor has been reportedly struggling emotionally over his recent divorce from Katie Holmes. According to reports, insiders are claiming that the pair has been bonding ever since Tom Cruise attended Cameron Diaz's birthday party at Ascot's Coworth Park hotel in London where onlookers has observed some sparks flying between the two. Diaz and Cruise are also reported to have enjoyed a secret date recently.

"A beautiful setting, fabulous food and a happy occasion. The perfect sparks to ignite the flames of a new romance. I could see them hooking up, absolutely," a source revealed to Life & Style magazine.

"A love connection between the two mega celebrities wouldn't be as surprising as it sounds. They've always gotten along really well, they're totally tight. Cameron says Tom is an awesome guy," the source further shared. However, Tom Cruise's representative denied that the pair are dating and insisted that the actor and Cameron Diaz are just good friends.

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz might end up always bumping into each other over the next couple of months for both Hollywood stars are currently filming in London.

"They'll only be 10 or 20 miles apart. They'll probably be going to the same restaurants and bars. I think they'll hang out for sure. Cameron is looking for some fun in England, I can guarantee you that. And she will likely be having fun with Tom," the source said.

Tom Cruise has been obviously making up for lost time after his three failed marriages. The "Rock of Ages" actor is reported to be sad but not bitter about his failed marriage after Katie Holmes filed for divorce in June and he has not yet returned in the dating circle since he is still coming to terms with his abrupt divorce.

On the other hand, Cameron Diaz is currently single and ready to mingle after her devastating break-up from New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez. Will Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz officially start dating and become a couple or will they just remain good friends?
