Keith Urban's Exit Begins The Judge Replacement Search On ‘The Voice Australia’ [PHOTOS]
After the Grammy Award-winning Australian country singer Keith Urban decided to leave "The Voice Australia," the search now officially starts on who will replace him on the TV reality show.
It was no surprise that Keith Urban decided to exit the show especially now that reports are claiming that the 44-year old music artist will sign on a new $4 million contract to sit on the "American Idol" judges' panel.
According to reports, "The Voice" judges Seal, Delta Goodrem and Joel Madden are still on the show for season two but finding the right person to balance the coaching ranks on the show is currently the hardest challenge on Australian TV. Will it be another country singer or a British bad boy?
Blake Shelton of "The Voice USA" and former "Take That" member Robbie Williams are claimed to be the early choices by the producers. Will.I.Am of the "Black Eyed Peas" is also believed to be on the list of potential judges for the talent search show.
Meanwhile, several talented music artists like Chris Martin of Coldplay, Kanye West, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, Pink as well as pop princess Kylie Minogue are also rumored to be on the list of who should sit next on one of the red chairs in "The Voice Australia."
The judging role of Keith Urban in "The Voice Australia" provided the success and popularity of the show as it hits the number one spot in Australia for the first time. "As much as I'd love to do it again, it's clear that the recording and promoting of a new album, a tour and other commitments, will keep me from being a part of the second season," Urban said gratefully.
"To everyone who sang on the show, I thank you. You've inspired not just me but countless others. To everyone behind the scenes and to my on-camera family Darren, Delta, Joel and Seal, thank you for making it so much fun. Keep watching Australia!'' Urban exclaimed.
Fans will just have to patiently wait for the official announcement in order to find out who will be Keith Urban's replacement on the show.
