Samsung starts flurry of Jelly Bean update for Galaxy devices. Tech2

Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the international version of the Galaxy S3 starting from Poland. The company has reportedly released a list of its next Galaxy devices that will receive the software update. The list includes 10 Galaxy smartphones, four Galaxy tablets and an unknown Galaxy device.

There is a mysterious Galaxy device named Galaxy Music which has also been listed for the Jelly Bean upgrade, reports The Verge.

The little known device could be the new Galaxy Player 5.8. Samsung has not provided details on the release date for the device.

The majority of the smartphones mentioned in the list were first launched with Android software version 2.3 (Gingerbread).

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Note 10.1 and Tab 2 7.0 were launched with Ice Cream Sandwich. The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus was first shipped with Android v3.2 (Honeycomb) but Samsung upgraded the tablet with ICS. Samsung has not provided any information on the update for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 which is banned in Europe over the patent dispute with Apple.

The Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S2 and the original Galaxy Note is the most anticipated update. Samsung is expected to release the software update for these two devices soon.

The latest XXDLIB Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S3 brings Project Butter, reworked settings menu, two home screen modes, a new notifications bar, Google Now and a resizable pop-up play screen.
