Seven months after welcoming her first child, Jessica Simpson is pregnant again.
The 32-year-old singer/businesswoman is confirmed to be pregnant with her second child, just seven months after giving birth to her daughter Maxwell. A source close to Jessica said that the second pregnancy wasn't at all planned.
"It definitely wasn't planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again," the source said on US Weekly magazine. "She is really overjoyed."
It will be Jessica's second baby with her fiancé, Eric Johnson.
According to reports from TMZ, Jessica has dropped 60 pounds because of a healthy eating plan that included plenty of smoothies, protein and vegetables. The singer is part of a $4 million sponsorship from Weight Watchers.
Her diet started last July which started with a 15-day smoothie diet then slowly included meals. The diet plan features healthy dishes that clearly work wonders. It had low calorie egg white omelettes, chicken, soba noodles and shrimp skewers. Apart from her diet, Jessica is also frequently seen in and out of the gym.
While Jessica announced the birth of her child via Twitter, nothing was heard from her regarding her second pregnancy.
Jessica and Eric have been engaged since November of 2010. However, two years have passed and there are still no wedding bells for them. And with the news of a second bay, the wedding date will more likely be pushed back again.
Jessica was previously married to Nick Lachey in 2002 but divorced in 2005. Nick is currently married to Vanessa Minnillo and just recently welcomed their first child.
