Galaxy Nexus I9250 Gets Official Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OTA Update via JOP40D Firmware

Galaxy Nexus I9250 is the latest entrant to the Nexus-Jelly-Bean party with the release of JOP40D ROM based Android 4.2.1 official firmware. The new Jelly Bean update is also ported to a wide range of other Nexus devices including Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.

Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean update is now available for automatic download over Samsung KIES. However, users who missed the opportunity can now download and install the same manually using the guide below, with due credit to TeamAndroid. It must be noted that the JOP40D official firmware is just a bug-fix OTA (Over-The-Air) update and not a major release.
