'Dabangg 2' Box Office Collection: Salman Starrer Earns ₹118 Crore in Nine Days

Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer action comedy "Dabangg 2" is currently ruling the box office. The movie which had a fantastic first week has raked in approximately ₹118.78 crore in just nine days of its release at the domestic box office.

The movie's collections indictate that the whole nation is gripped with the Salman fever. Arbaaz Khan's debut directorial movie, which was released on Friday, has set new records in many circuits in India.

The film is going strong at multiplexes and on single screens as well. It collected ₹5 crore on the second Friday and approximately ₹7 crore on Saturday in India. The movie's overall collections now stands at approximately ₹118.78 crore in India.

"#Dabangg2 [2nd Week] Fri 5 cr, Sat *estimates* 6.75 cr to 7 cr. Total: ₹118.53 cr+," trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted.

The first week breakup of the movie in India reads: ₹21.10 cr on Friday, ₹19.06 cr on Saturday, ₹25 cr on Sunday, ₹12 cr on Monday, ₹15.5 cr on Tuesday, ₹8.12 cr on Wednesday and approximately ₹6 cr on Thursday.

 The business of the film was slightly affected in north India due to bad climate conditions and the ongoing India-Pakistan cricket series.

The year 2012 has proved lucky for Salman Khan as both of his films, "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Dabangg 2", was declared blockbusters.

With no new releases this week and also with New Year holiday approaching, "Dabangg 2" is expected to dominate the silver screen in India and the international market.
