World's top smartphone maker Samsung on Tuesday launched a less expensive 5-inch phablet called Galaxy Grand in India.
Samsung's 5.0-inch plus phablets, the Galaxy Note series, were a huge hit globally with record multi-million sales around the world despite being on the higher priced side. The company has now launched an affordable mid-range dual-SIM phablet in India.
The newly-launched Galaxy Grand phablet will be available for ₹21,500, which is far below the the prices of the company's flagship phablets which are around ₹35,000 in India.

Samsung's new phablet Galaxy Grand comes with an instinctual feature called Direct Call. This the intuitive feature enables users to automatically dial a call by raising the device to the ear. Users can also shake the phone to trigger a status update.
SmartAlert shows missed calls and new messages just by picking up the phone. Another feature, S-Voice, helps users to browse through using voice commands.
The new phablet features many useful specs to match its name 'Grand', but its display resolution at 480x800p is bit of a letdown for a ₹21,000 plus priced smartphone.
