Selena Gomez has taken inspiration from Skrillex and Taylor Swift for upcoming album set for a release in March. What would Gomez's album be all about? "Selenators" are sure hoping it'll tell Gomez's side of the story. Here's all fans have to know about Selena Gomez's upcoming album.
Taking a cue from Swift and singing songs about break-ups, Gomez is set to reveal her "tell-all" album by March. After having performed Swift's hit song, "I Knew You Were Trouble" at the UNICEF benefit concert last Saturday, Selena Gomez has been nothing but inspired.
"Taylor inspires me - not even in music, just in everything that she does," Gomez said. "She's such an incredible person," said Gomez.
Swift isn't the only person inspiring Gomez and her music. All thanks to being part of "Spring Breakers", Selena had also been inspired by Skrillex who is also behind the movies' original score.
"Skrillex was a big inspiration because he did the score of 'Spring Breakers,' so being a part of that and meeting him and watching 'Spring Breakers' a thousand times through festivals and stuff, you kinda get hooked on it," explained Gomez, adding, "So I was like, 'I should kind of add a little bit of that in there.'"
However, for fans of Skrillex expecting something of collaboration on Gomez's album there happened to be none. Skrillex was busy "doing his own thing" according to Gomez.
As for fans hoping to hear some sort of an explanation following the "Jelena" split from Gomez's new album, there just might be a "side story" in some of the songs bound to be on the album.
"I think the older I'm getting the more I'm just kind of like I'm cool to share my side of the stories as much as I can, so I'm having a lot of fun," stated Gomez.
Halfway through recording the new album, Gomez said a "big turn happened" which of course inspired her to do better for her album dropping in by March.
"March hopefully. I'm gonna say that because that's what I'm gonna make sure happens," confirms Gomez.
"I think for me it was actually interesting to see that towards the middle of me recording my record, a big turn happened to me and it was incredible to see how I applied that to music because I've never done that before and it's great," continued Gomez.
"Selenators" are sure to look forward to Gomez's album plus the stories she'd sing.
