Apart from its powerful quad-core processor, other features of Karbonn's S1 Titanium are pretty standard for a budget big-screen smartphone. Speculations are rife that the device might be released this week and is expected to be priced between ₹11,000 to ₹13,000.
Karbonn's rival Micromax also recently unveiled a similar budget big-screen smartphone 'Canvas 2 A110'. The device features a 5-inch LCD display and an 8.0-megapixel main camera along with a 0.3-megapixel secondary camera.
Micromax's Canvas 2 smartphone is currently available around ₹10,299. Prices vary depending on the taxes levied in the local market.
Other Indian smartphone makers such as Lava, Byond and MNC Samsung too have released budget big-screen smartphones in the country.
