‘Fifty Shades’ of Sculpted Abs: ‘Arrow’ Star Stephen Amell to Play Christian Grey? [PHOTOS]

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie is an opportunity, according to Stephen Amell, who could play Christian Grey if everything works out right for him. The "Arrow" star delights many fans with his sculpted abs every episode. In fact, most of Amell's uploaded photos show off his abs as shot for the CBS superhero series. Could this help him snag the role of Anastasia Steele's billionaire lover?

Amell does not make any effort to conceal his interest in playing Christian Grey, though he admitted he hasn't read the books. In "Arrow," he plays billionaire Oliver Queen who is on a mission to clean up his city from crooks and criminals. Wealth and toned body are two of the things common to Christian and Oliver. If producers approached Amell for the "Fifty Shades" movie, things could sail smoothly.

The "Green Arrow" character brings Batman and Robin Hood together in one suit and one mission. As Oliver Queen, Amell is seen every week doing some bodybuilding and physically challenging stunts to sculpt his body to a fighting form against the bad guys. "I mean if you think about it, it would be four movies, the last part being two parts. I don't even own a house yet. So I don't think that I'd be turning that down any time soon," Amell told Wetpaint in an August interview.

It is obvious Amell has done at least a bit of research about Christian Grey. He has also taken the time to check how his fans have been backing him up. Lately, he is becoming increasingly popular alongside Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill as top contenders for the coveted role.

"I got a link for a Christian Grey fan page, and they put a picture of me as Oliver Queen on there. I'm doing kind of an a****le smirk, and it blew up. The "likes" and the comments blew up. So I don't know. I haven't read the books," Amell said.
