The best designers in the industry showcased their collections on the third day of the London Fashion week.

Matthew Williamson impressed all with his Autumn/Winter 2013 collection filled with bold and bright colours. Model Cara Delevingne led the ramp, displaying his collection of coats, bead embellishments and hand-embroidered skirts. Williamson coupled the dresses with his capsule collection of leather handbags.

"My new collection is inspired by the idea of futuristic folk. Designs are influenced by the layering of traditional, ceremonial costumes, while the palette and prints reference mystical landscapes," he said about his collection.

Kate Middleton's favourite designer, Alice Temperley, showed her Autumn/Winter 2013 creations - Byrd. It took inspiration from the style of the iconic actress of Hitchcock movies The Birds and Marnie, Tippi Hedren. The collection showcased high-waisted full skirts with cashmere jumpers, floor-length ball gowns, embroidered blouses and checked wool coats.

"She is an alpha female with a darker side but still luxuriously chic and ultra feminine, whose wish is to live life to the fullest," she said about her collection.

Vivienne Westwood's latest collection - Vivienne Westwood Red Label - was dominated with plum, teals and metallic shades. She showed off her collection of figure-hugging dresses and nipped-in jackets.

"I like to design clothes that would attract interesting people - if you attract interesting people, then your social life will be better for it," she told Vogue.

"When you put one of my dresses on I want you to feel sexy, I want it to tell a story - it's theatrical, as if you're playing a character," she said, adding, "A dress is like an extension of your personality."

The 71-year-old designer, wore a t-shirt with an image of herself looking like WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, with a slogan that reads "I'm Julian Assange." She also expressed her take on the climate change campaign.

"Every small thing you do can really change your life," she said, "And the first thing they must do is inform themselves, believe the scientists ... then they'll stop being consumers and start being more interested in the world."
