Many of Hollywood's most glamorous women faced an evening being covered in green slime, but they still put on their best outfits to grace the purple and orange carpet at the 26th annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, held at the University of Southern California's Galen Center in Los Angeles.

Selena Gomez looked gorgeous in an Oscar de la Renta top and shorts and teamed it up with Gucci heels. The 20-year-old actress, who picked up the award for favourite television actress for her work on the show Wizards of Waverly Place, completed the look with a Diane von Furstenberg bag, Melinda Maria hoop earrings, and Dana Rebecca Designs necklace and rings.

Kristen Stewart, who was a big winner at the event, looked pretty in blue Osman dress and Christian Louboutin shoes. The 22-year-old actress won in the favourite movie actress category (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2) and also the favourite female butt-kicker (Snow White and the Huntsman). In recognition of her excellence, she was covered in green slime after she hugged presenters Sandra Bullock and Neil Patrick Harris, who were themselves slimed before presenting the award.

Katy Perry, who received the orange blimp for favourite female singer, stunned all in an Herve Leger dress and combined it with Christian Louboutin shoes, earrings by Nikki Baker and EF Collection, and a bracelet by Melinda Maria. The 28-year-old, a regular at the event, escaped sliming this year. In 2010, she was sprayed with green slime after opening a box on stage. This later became one of the most talked-about slimings of all time.

Jessica Alba was elegant in a Mary Katrantzou dress, Eddie Borgo jewels, and a Stella McCartney bag.

Former Disney star Ashley Tisdale looked chic in a Rafael Cennamo dress, Jerome C. Rousseau shoes, and a Carla Amorim ring.

Victoria Justice, who accepted the award for favourite TV show for her hit series Victorious, went for a Pia Pauro dress and teamed it up with Aldo shoes, Nancy Gonzalez clutch, Sarah Chloe earrings.
