Arsenal have stepped up interest in Borussia Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek. The Mail believes the Gunners could move for the 27-year-old Polish international if contract negotiations with Bacary Sagna fail.

The French international has one year left on his deal with Arsene Wenger's side but talks over an extension have so far failed, with the 30-year-old wanting more than the 12-month deal presently on the table. Sagna has therefore been linked with a move to one of two French clubs - Paris St Germain (PSG) and Monaco.

Piszczek was also believed to be a target for Arsenal's London rivals Chelsea, when the Blues were shopping for a replacement for Jose Bosingwa. The Pole has had an excellent season in the Bundesliga, with two goals and eight assists from 27 games.

Jurgen Klopp faces an uncomfortable summer, with Dortmund likely to have to ward off interest in their players from a number of top European clubs. The Germans have capped two consecutive Bundesliga title wins in 2011 and 2012 with an appearance in this season's Champions League final and have already lost playmaker Mario Götze to German champions Bayern Munich.

The club also look likely to lose another Polish star in striker Robert Lewandowski, with Bayern, Manchester United and Real Madrid linked to the forward.

Arsenal Confirm Pre-Season Game in Vietnam

Meanwhile, the Gunners have confirmed a pre-season friendly in Vietnam. They will be the first Premier League side to visit the Asian country. The fixture is part of a tour that will see the first team travel to Indonesia and Japan, where they will play Wenger's former club, Nagoya Grampus.

"Arsenal has so many loyal supporters in Asia and we are delighted to be visiting Vietnam in July to play a match in Hanoi. Everyone at Arsenal is proud to be the first Premier League team to play a match in Vietnam and to be spending time in this wonderful country. Arsene Wenger, the players and all the staff have hugely enjoyed our tours to Asia in the past two years, and we are all looking forward to visiting Vietnam as part of our Asia Tour 2013," Ivan Gazidis, the club's chief executive, told www.arsenal.com.
