R'n'B singer Chris Brown has targeted Jay-Z and his wife Beyoncé in an angry rant on Twitter.
The controversial singer appeared to accuse Beyoncé of stealing his dance moves and seemed to threaten Jay-Z with gang violence.
Sharing a clip of Beyoncé performing during her Mrs Carter tour, he told his 12.9 million followers: "Looks familiar. Beyoncé, U might as well go ahead and do this collab."
He then insinuated that if Jay-Z had a problem with the collaboration request, he would get Piru gang members involved.
"Jay might have a problem wit it but this [is] Piru," he added.
The Pirus, or Piru Street Family, is the largest street gang in Los Angeles. They have spread from their original base of Compton to other areas of the city.
It had been widely speculated that Brown was affiliated with the Blood gang and his Tweet did little to quash rumours.
The 24-year-old made his inflammatory comments during a lengthy expletive-filled tirade about his recent court appearance where he was ordered to complete a 1,000 additional hours of community service.
Brown's punishment stemmed from his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend and Jay-Z's protégé, Rihanna. The star was reportedly given more community service for lying about completing his earlier community service sentence of 1,400 hours.
The Fine China hitmaker vented his angry on Twitter saying: "Nigga done 6 months community service with police and the DA racist ass crying to the judge that I didn't do it. F**k the system."
In October 2012 it was reported that Jay-Z threatened to end Brown's career if he ever hurt Rihanna again.
Brown refuted the claims in an interview with US radio station Power 106. He insisted that their conversation had been cordial.
"It was real respectful. It was nothing like that. Me and him, it was like a green room [situation] and it was cool," he said.
"People like to take it and run with it because they have nothing else."
