There is some good news for those wanting to see the Note 3 with LTE configuration. The handset recently appeared at the Global Certification Forum (GCF).

The certification details the LTE model of the Note 3 bearing model number SM-N9005. As per the listing, the next Note supports LTE 2100/1800/1600/800MHz (Band1, 3,5,7,20), WCDMA 2100/1900/900/850MHz and GSM 1900/1800/900/850MHz frequencies respectively. These frequencies support almost all networks across the world, although there may be a dedicated variant with support for networks carriers in China.

The Note 3 was recently reported to be coming with a few significant changes in terms of hardware configuration for the emerging markets. The device is expected to use LCD display instead of AMOLED. Besides, it is likely to have an eight megapixel camera sensor instead of a 13 megapixel unit. The initial production volume of the Note 3 with LCD display will be around 30%. This is believed to be aimed at reducing the overall product cost for price-sensitive consumers in emerging markets.
