Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford has welcomed her first child with footballer fiancé Wayne Bridge.

The 24-year-old popstar gave birth to the couple's son, Parker, on Friday morning.

Taking to Twitter she told fans that she and her soon-to-be-husband were already 'absolutely besotted' with their new addition.

She told her one million followers: "Wayne and I are so proud to say our little boy Parker Bridge was born this morning. 7lb 13oz. All doing well and absolutely besotted."

Her timeline was quickly inundated with congratulatory messages from her bandmates, fans and celebrity friends.

Fellow Saturday Mollie King tweeted: "So unbelievably happy for @FrankieTheSats & Wayne on this incredible day! I need to meet little Parker, I can't wait! I love him already."

One fan said: "Aww! I hope all is well! Congrats Frankie and Wayne!"

Sandford announced her pregnancy in May, shortly after saying she planned to get married.
