Overview

Currently placed second with seven points from three games, India have lived up to their favourites tag and along with hosts Malaysia are the only unbeaten team in the tournament. The Men in Blue come into this clash full of confidence after beating arch-rivals 3-2 on Sunday (23 October).

India came back to win the game after trailing 2-1 with drag flicker Rupinder Pal Singh in brilliant form. Dutch coach Roelant Oltmans will be happy by the performance of his charges so far with India on course for a spot in the semi-final stage.

China are placed second from bottom in the table standings, having won just one game from the three matches played. They come into this clash after suffering a 5-3 thrashing at the hands of hosts Malaysia and are competing with Pakistan for a spot in the semi-final stage.
