Asus has reportedly begun rolling out a minor update for the Transformer Pad TF300T, according to The Android Soul. The update is said to have gone live a couple of days back over the weekend, while a number of users have downloaded the update on their device.

Users looking to download the update may check the System Updates option under Settings > About Tablet. The Transformer Pad TF300T received the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) in August. Although the recent update does not change the latest Jelly Bean version running on Asus tablet, it still brings some improvements to the device.

The update reportedly provides much faster boot-up time, overall improvement in general performance and fast connectivity to Wi-Fi even after waking up from sleep mode. Although the update would change the build number to 10.4.2.17, it still retains the recently received official Jelly Bean update.

"So while it's not anything major, it's still worth getting the update for the improvements that it is said to bring about," claims The Android Soul.

The Transformer Pad TF300T is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 T30L chipset with quad-core 1.2GHz cortex-A9 processor. It is paired with ULP GeForce graphics processing unit and ships 1GB of RAM.

The 10.1in device sports an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It packs a pixel density of 149 pixel per inch (ppi). The display supports up to 10 fingers multi touch functionality and features ASUS Waveshare user interface.

It includes internal storage options of 16/32GB and a microSD card slot with an additional memory space of 32GB. In terms of connectivity, it features Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0 with EDR wireless technology. The device comes with an optional mobile dock with a standard QWERTY keyboard and trackpad. It sports a Li-Po 22Wh standard battery that provides talk time of up to 10 hours.
