Sevilla face a tricky test against Spanish rivals Atheltic Bilbao in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final at San Mames on 7 April.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 8.05pm BST. The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport 2.

Overview

Athletic Bilbao are on a three-game winless run in all competitions, with Adalberto Penaranda's late equaliser denying the Basques victory against Granada at the weekend. The San Mames outfit are level on points with Sevilla in La Liga and have won their last five home league encounters against the Andalusians.

Aymeric Laporte (leg) and Sabin Merino (hamstring) are both out injured, while midfielder Raul Garcia is suspended. Iker Muniain is available again after recovering from a hamstring problem.

Sevilla were beaten 2-1 at home by 10-man Real Sociedad at the weekend, extending their winless run in competitive away matches to eight. Unai Emery's side are yet to win away from home in Europe or La Liga this season.

Midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli is available again after missing the Sociedad match due to physical discomfort.

What managers say

Ernesto Valverde: "We've been dreaming about this game all season. I doubt the tie will be decided here, so it's a game for us to enjoy and contest – we can't sit back and defend. We'll go all out for the win, without losing our heads. Sevilla know how to win this competition but we want to make history too. We would love to reach another final."

Unai Emery: "San Mames will be buzzing. We are prepared for their intensity and it's going to be a closely contested game, with every ball fought for. The tie is very even, 50/50, if you look at how we are both doing in the league. It's going to be a wonderful tie."
