An Atlantic storm is set to rage throughout South West England and Wales for the next three days, according to the Met Office.

The announcement follows a month of heavy wind and rain, with forecasters predicting this June will be the wettest since records began. Footage here filmed by Steve Harris on 7 June, shows large waves battering the Cornish coast at Porthlaven.

The area will see at least 60mm of rainfall and 80mph hurricane force winds. Devon, Cornwall and Somerset are the three counties most likely to be affected by the adverse weather, and residents have been told to be prepared for floods.
