Overview

England's tour of Australia has been nothing but disappointing for the visitors after the whitewash in the Test series, eventually losing the Ashes 5-0. This was followed by a 4-1 defeat in the One Day Internationals (ODI), leaving them with one win in the last ten games played in all formats against the team Down Under.

Alastair Cook is not part of the T20 squad, leaving the captaincy role to Stuart Broad. The right-arm pacer will be hoping to win the three-match series against Australia to end the tour on a positive note.

Meanwhile, George Bailey leads Australia as Michael Clarke has opted out of the shorter format of the game. Australia will be looking for another series whitewash over the English side, after their success in the Test and ODIs.

When the last time the two sides met in the T20 encounter the two-match series had ended in draw. The first match at Southampton was won by the Australians before England made a comeback at Chester-le-Street to level the series.

Ben Stokes and Eoin Morgan will be the two key players for England while Glen Maxwell and James Faulkner would be two crucial men for the hosts.
