Overview

Australia continued their Test series form into the ODI's as George Bailey's side sealed a comfortable victory against England in the opening match of the tri-series. The Three Lions won the toss and decided to bat first.

England under the new leadership of Eoin Morgan failed to deliver as the English top order was dismissed cheaply. They lost the first five wickets for just 69 runs. The visitors' skipper managed to put on a defendable total on board after scoring 121 runs.

Australia had no trouble in chasing the total as opening batsman David Warner's knock of 127 runs helped the host seal a win in the opening match. Bailey will be hoping his side can register another victory, this time against the World Champions.

MS Dhoni, who confirmed his retirement from Test cricket last month will play his first game after announcing his decision to end his Test career. The pressure will be on India to bounce back after a 2-0 series defeat in the longer format of the game.
