The match starts at 9:30am GMT. Live coverage will be available on Eurosport 1, Eurosport 1 HD, Eurosport 2 and Eurosport HD.. Live scores and real-time internet updates are available on the Australian Open official website.

Overview

Djokovic, the defending champion of the Australian Open, has won the tournament on five occasions. Should he win it this year, it will be for the sixth time he will be winning the first Grand Slam of the calendar year and join Roy Emerson in becoming the joint holder for most singles titles in the Australian Open.

In the first round, the Serbian defeated Chung Hyeon in straight sets. He managed to beat the heat and the South Korean player as the final scoreline was 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. It was a routine win for Djokovic, who is one of the favourites to win the tournament.

Halys moved into the second round of this year's Australian Open after defeating Ivan Dodig. After winning the first set, the Frenchman lost the second, only to bounce back in the third and the fourth to seal the match. Had he allowed the fourth set to go into a tie breaker, it would have provided the Croatian an opportunity to make a comeback. However, Halys sealed the match as the final scoreline was 6-4, 6-7, 6-4, 7-5.
