Avengers 3
Mad Titan Thanos will be the main villain in the two-part Avengers: Infinity wars Marvel Studios

Avengers: Infinity War will feature the Earth's mightiest superheroes, but rumours have it that one particular character will take the centre stage and this would be none other than Spider-Man.

This explains why Marvel's was so keen on bringing Spidey from Sony.

According to reports, Spider-Man is the one who prevents utter destruction by stealing the "infinity stones" from Mad Titan Thanos in the Infinity War comics.

According to a report in Movie Pilot, Spidey will manage to take back the Infinity Gauntlet and use it to reverse time if the movie follows the comic books. While doing so, he reverts the destructive all things that Thanos did. As a result, only the web-slinger and Thanos will remember the event.

The website also speculates that Thanos will completely destroy New York city and fans would see all of their superheroes in a no-holds-barred contest with Thanos, as total chaos ensues. And it then that Spidey would come along to reverse the catastrophic timeline.

Avengers Age of Ultron's Quicksilver might also return to Avengers: Infinity War.

Aaron Taylor Johnson recently hinted that he might return to reprise his role in the upcoming cosmic war.

Johnson told Cinema Blend. "It was very much our intention to kind of go the way we did. There was a costume designed for whether... if I didn't [die]. Which was f***ing really cool. I was like, 'Oh my God'. I am not sure if I can really go down that realm.

"But, you know, yeah... it was definitely an alternative that I think they had to play with. But, it was very much set from the very beginning and Joss hand in mind to tell the story that he told," he added.

Avengers 3: Infinity War will be out in a two-part installment, the first of which will hit theatres in May 2018, while the second part will be released in 2019.
