Overview

The final game of the Group A qualifiers sees Bangladesh take on Oman on 12 March at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala. This is a must-win game for both the sides and the winner of this tie will qualify for Super 10's of the main draw.

Bangladesh come into this game in fine form, beating Netherlands in the first game by 8 runs. In the second game they looked good, posting 94 for two wickets in eight overs before rain washed out play. Opener Tamim Iqbal is looking in good touch and what has been impressive is that he is playing much more aggressively than before. The rest of the batting order has not fired as yet, but in a must-win game, they will be looking to seasoned professionals like Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim to guide them home.

What will be interesting to see is how skipper Mashrafe Mortaza handles pacer Taskin Ahmed and left-arm spinner Sunny Arafat after the International Cricket Council (ICC) expressed concerns over their actions with the duo required to clear their action in a week's time.

No one at the start of the tournament would have expected Oman to be fighting for a place in the main draw of the World T20. However, Sultan Ahmed's men have surprised everyone with their performances on the field. In particular was the two-wicket win over the much-fancied Ireland, a win which will go down as one of the most important in their history.

The Omanis are expected to go in with the same XI named for their washed out game against the Netherlands.
