Barcelona have a mountain to climb in the second leg of their Spanish Super Cup tie against Athletic Bilbao on 17 August after getting thrashed 4-0 at San Mames in last week's first leg.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 9pm BST. The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 4 HD.

Overview

Barcelona need the mother of all comebacks if they are to lift the Spanish Super Cup after an under-strength starting XI was blown away by Athletic Bilbao at San Mames in the first leg on 14 August.

Of particular concern to Barca boss Luis Enrique will be his leaky defence, which also conceded four goals in the 5-4 extra-time victory over Sevilla in the Uefa Super Cup last week.

Enrique has insisted that his team can do the impossible and overhaul a four-goal deficit and is likely to name his strongest possible team for the decisive encounter, with only Neymar (illness) and Jordi Alba (hamstring) unavailable for selection.

Athletic coach Ernesto Valverde has urged his players to stay focused, cautioning them that the tie was not yet over despite the huge margin of victory in the first leg.

Ander Iturraspe, Inaki Williams, Mikel Rico and Iker Muniain all remain sidelined for the Basque club, who are looking to end a 31-year barren spell without a trophy.

What managers say

Luis Enrique: The players are not just convinced, they are utterly convinced. We're aware of how difficult it will be, but it's a challenge that a team of this calibre is equal to. We have the talent, we are going to be in better shape and, when Barca plays, anything can happen. We cannot make mistakes. We are capable of scoring four or more goals, but we cannot let them score.

Ernesto Valverde: Against another team, 4-0 would be enough to all but seal the trophy, but not against Barcelona. It's true that it was a convincing result that catches the eye because Barcelona don't concede four goals very often. It was a magical night and we'll see if we are capable of finishing off the job on Monday. Nothing is set in stone because Barca are capable of anything.
