Ben Affleck stars in the Justice league movie with Jason Mamoa, Gal Gadot and Ezra Miller

It will not be until 2017 fall that Ben Affleck returns to the big screen as the DC superhero Batman, but if the words of director Zack Snyder are any indication, production is nearing its end on the upcoming Justice League movie. Keeping with tradition, the Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice director shared the first look of the Batsuit, which Affleck dons in the superhero movie.

Sharing a picture from the set of the Justice League movie, Snyder revealed the first look of what he calls Batman's "new tactical suit" on Twitter.

"Homestretch. Last day filming Batman in the new Tactical Batsuit.#JusticeLeague #Batman," the 50-year-old filmmaker wrote along with the 14 September picture post.

The wardrobe upgradation shouldn't come as a surprise to Batman fans, as the superhero is known to sport different suits each time he plays saviour to Gotham city. In the latest set photo Affleck is seen wearing a heavy-plated "tactical" Batsuit, which has an interesting addition — a pair of protective goggles.

While this indeed lends an air of cool to the whole caped crusader outfit, Affleck as Batman has shown such sartorial alterations earlier as well in the Batman v Superman movie. The actor donned a classic armour along with a traditional costume that was reportedly inspired by Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the addition of goggles in the latest Batsuit is reminiscent of the Night Owl accessory in the 2009 movie Watchmen.

Along with the first look of the "tactical" Batsuit, Snyder also offered a glimpse of what appears to be the Batmobile. With sharp looks and sparks flying all around the vehicle, the new Batmobile sure looks striking in the set photo. Previously, Snyder had shared a photo of Jason Mamoa, rocking a grunge look and playing a guitar!

"Every day on set is an amazing adventure with this guy. #JusticeLeague #Aquaman @PrideofGypsies," he had captioned the photo.

Justice League also features Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher in the role of Cyborg. The movie is set to hit theatres on 17 November 2017.
