Benfica

Benfica take on Sevilla in the finals of the Europa Cup on Wednesday at the Juventus Stadium in Italy.

Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is set for 7:45pm BST. Live coverage will be available on ITV 4 and ITV 4 HD.

Overview

Benfica will be looking to win a European final after eight failed attempts since 1988, including their loss to Chelsea in the same competition last year.

Branislav Ivanovic's header in the 90th minute sealed the game for Chelsea as Benfica were left wondering on what could have been. The Portuguese club have already won the Primeira Liga with two games to spare and are in great form going into the game.

They come into the final on the back of a 2-1 loss to arch rivals Porto in the league but have been very consistent throughout the tournament.

They qualified for the finals with a 2-1 victory in aggregate over Italian giants Juventus and given their experience from last season, will be a formidable opposition for the La Liga side.

Meanwhile, Sevilla come into the game having eliminated league rivals Valencia in the semi-finals but have taken only one point from their last two games in the league.

Kevin Gameiro is unlikely to be available owing to a knee injury, and this is a major blow to their hopes of claiming their first European title since 2007.

What the Managers Say

Jorge Jesus: "I think neither side will go into the final as favourites - we both have a 50/50 chance of winning. You have to be really good to reach a final, and I have a great deal of respect for this Sevilla side who will compete in the final with us. They have every right to win this competition outright."

Unai Emery: "This is the final challenge we face. We need to face it and take it on. We respect our opponent and what is for certain is that we are both deserving finalists. In fairness, the big favourites were Juventus and Benfica eliminated them. Therefore, they could feel that they are the favourites but that doesn't mean we don't think we can beat them. We respect that they could be seen as favourites."
