Ahead of the big revelation, Diaz told her 950,000 followers: "Y'all ready to see what I've been up too ??? Tomorrow .... Catch me now on ET"

She later uploaded a behind the scenes snap of herself in the ET studios with the caption: "Tomorrow on #EntertainmentTonight you'll get to see what my first assignment was I sit with @nancyodell @etonlinealert"

Diaz will serve as a correspondent on the half-hour syndicated show, interviewing celebrities alongside Nancy Odell.

The Latin beauty and former hosting pal of Terrence Jenkins bid farewell to hit BET show 106 & Park in September after seven years.

Diaz's announcement comes just weeks after Jenkins announced that he will replace Ryan Seacrest permanently as the new co-host of E! News.

Seacrest left his role at the anchor desk back due to his busy schedule which includes American Idol, and his daily radio morning show.

"I've always had a passion for the wide spectrum of pop culture that E! News covers so well; I can't wait to get started," Jenkins said.
