Superstar Beyoncé has revealed that using the treadmill and eating lettuce helped her loose a staggering 60Ibs in just five months.

The 30-year-old mother showed off her amazing post-pregnancy body over the weekend when she performed for the first time since August 2011.

Beyoncé returned to the stage to play four concerts in Atlantic City after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter in January.

Speaking to the crowd at Revel Beach Ovation Hall about her post-pregnancy regime she said: "You all have no idea how hard I worked! I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!"

Dressed in a number of stunning custom-made Ralph & Russo creations, the songstress showed of her svelte figure and performed a selection of hits from her four albums and a medley of Destiny's Child songs.

Using the concert as an opportunity to show off the fruits of her labour, she sported a midriff-baring, fringed two-piece embellished with Swarovski crystals for her first gigs.

The Countdown singer also revealed how she planned to celebrate her triumphant live shows: "Now tonight I'm gonna get chocolate wasted!" she said.

Among the audience were first lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10, who were spotted dancing to the songs Crazy in Love and Single Ladies.

Beyoncé's rapper husband Jay Z was also there to support his leading lady on her return to the stage.

The proud music mogul tweeted to fans: "I'm gonna say this and then I'm gonna end mine. BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period."
