Pop superstar Beyoncé has sparked fears over her mental and physical health after footage emerged of her acting strangely at a recent NBA basketball game.

The 33-year-old Drunk in Love hitmaker was at the Oklahoma City Thunder Vs Brooklyn Nets game with her husband Jay Z when she began swaying from side to side.

In the 60-second clip making the rounds online, the Drunk in Love singer can be seen having an awkward exchange with her partner before starting to move with no music playing and a blank expression on her face.

While some fans claimed she was clearly swaying along to a song in her head, or was desperate for the bathroom, others jumped to more alarming conclusions and claimed that her movement was a classic cry for help and reflected the troubled state of mind of somebody struggling with depression.

"Is Mrs Carter Ok?" one fan asked.

Another noted that she looked "spaced out".

"She looks f**king crazy", another added.

Physical demands and emotional distress

Reactive depression is a temporary form of depression that can be triggered by an event or series of events in a person's life.

Although Queen B suffered depression briefly when her former group, Destiny's Child, split up, it makes more sense that the mother-of-one is exhausted after a hectic few months.

After coming off her successful Mrs Carter world tour, she embarked on the joint On The Run Tour with her husband, performed an epic mini concert at this year's MTV VMA's, and is preparing to release her new album in time for Christmas.

She has also been on an emotion roller-coaster in her personal life.

The couple's six-year marriage has been hit by divorce speculation ever since footage surfaced of her sister attacking Jay Z in a lift after the MET Gala and her two-year-old daughter has been repeatedly taunted over her appearance.

So it's not surprising if sitting courtside at a basketball game was the last place she wanted to be.

And some of her Beehive wanted to make it clear that discussing the diva's mental health based on a short video was simply out of line.

"Geez she's probably sleepy and rocking back and forth as a sensory input to keep her awake, " another supporter hit back.

"This is just her creative process. People are looking too hard trying to find something wrong with her"
