Bollywood star Salman Khan is preparing to host the controversial reality TV show Bigg Boss season 9. But this year around the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor could be seen with a special co-host.
According to Business of Cinema, Colors -- the Hindi channel that airs the show -- is considering to rope in actor Akshay Kumar to make the show more entertaining. The theme of the show this year is Double Trouble and Kumar, who is a close friend of Khan, would be well appreciated by viewers.
Bigg Boss season 9 will premiere on 11 October and the makers of the show are leaving no stone unturned to spike its TRP. The show, brings in contestants from various backgrounds, and since it is a massive fan following worldwide, it serves as a good platform for production houses to promote their upcoming movies. And since Akshay's movie titled Singh Is Bling is up for release, there are speculations that the star may indeed join the show to promote it.
The list of contestants for this year is yet to be announced, but reports suggest that Arshi Khan, Mahi Vij, Khan's doppelganger Najeem Khan and India's first gay ambassador Nakshatra Bagwe, would feature in the reality TV show.
Although the names of the contestants are yet to be officially announced, chances are high that the network would follow tradition and keep the list a secret until Khan introduces the contestants during the premiere episode.
