Bigg Boss Season 8 is all set to air on September 21 to an eagerly-awaiting audience. The controversial nature of the show combined with host Salman Khan's massive fan following has made Bigg Boss one of the most watched Indian shows on TV.
Several teasers and photos of the upcoming season have revealed the theme and setup of Bigg Boss 8.
"To elevate the excitement level, the house will be designed as the interior of an aircraft, just as last year's season seven was designed as heaven and hell," said a source, according to Daily Mail.
Sources further revealed that the house will also have a waiting lounge and two different sections for Economy and Business class.
However, the names of contestants have been kept a secret...till now.
Reportedly, a source from the channel (Colors TV) revealed names of some of the celebs who will be part of the show's new season.
Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba will be one of the biggest draws this year, and will be accompanied by model-turned-actor Upen Patel. "The channel is also in talks with Arya Babbar, who might be on-board, if things work out," added the source.
Other names likely to be seen inside the house are TV actress and reality show star Shweta Salve, Karishma Tanna, and Indian-origin Irish starlet Maryam Zakhariya - last seen in Agent Vinod. VJ Sushant Divgikar will be the only LGBT contestant in the house.
Kingfisher calendar model Sonali Raut, who recently made an appearance in The Xpose with Himesh Reshammiya, might also participate in the show.
There has been no official confirmation from the channel or the producers regarding the names of contestants on Bigg Boss 8.
The show's massive reach and appeal has also catapulted it into a much bigger league in terms of the business it generates:
"In the earlier seasons, the channel got sponsorship from seven prominent brands, but with its increasing popularity over the years, the numbers of sponsors have gone up," stated the source.
