David Beckham and Kate Middleton: Britain's Best Beach Bodies [SLIDESHOW]

David Beckham and Kate Middleton boast the best British beach bodies, according to a new poll conducted by hotels.com. Beckham topped a list of the world's top 10 male beach bodies (based on British votes), while Kate came joint-second in the women's category, falling only to American singer Beyonce Knowles.

The statistics reveal that over one in every five British respondents voted for Beckham as the celebrity with the most favoured male physique, while Kate's figure received 9.7 percent of the votes - the same as American actress Jessica Alba.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who was photographed wearing a bikini while on her honeymoon with Prince William, in the Seychelles, finished slightly ahead of her sister, Pippa Middleton, whose figure became the focus of global attention following the royal wedding in April last year.

Other entries in the men's list included Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Hollywood stars Daniel Craig and Johnny Depp, while entries in women's list included British singer Cheryl Cole, veteran actress Helen Mirren and Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson,

In addition, to his top ranking in British vote, Beckham also emerged in first place in a separate global poll, while Kate was bumped to third in that one, with Alba and Beyonce taking top spots.

"It's great to see the 'royal effect' spreading around the world with Kate Middleton appearing in the global list of celebrity bikini bodies. I'm not surprised that David Beckham and Daniel Craig top the British list, I don't think Britain would get tired of seeing pictures of those two in their trunks," Kate Hopcraft from Hotels.com told the Daily Mail.
