The problems Blackberry have been facing with internet services such as BBM and Facebook have now spread to the USA.

American users have been reporting outages on social media website, Twitter, claiming their email services are completely broken.

Blackberry has this to say this afternoon: "BlackBerry subscribers in the Americas may be experiencing intermittent service delays this morning. We are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and we apologize to our customers for any inconvenience. We will provide a further update as soon as more information is available."

RIM - Blackberry's maker - considered the problems dealt with earlier today, yet there are still millions of unhappy users complaining about the completely broken internet services.

Blackberry's flagship application, BBM (Blackberry Messenger) isn't working, alongside other third party apps such as Twitter and Facebook. Web browsing and emailing have also been disabled.

Jokes have been posted all over Twitter regarding the outages such as: "Dear Blackberry, thank you for sending all remaining customers over to us. Love, Apple" from Ghero46 and a number of tweets saying: "It's nice of BlackBerry to honour Steve Jobs with three days of silence."

However, other Blackberry users are furious about the lack of support they're receiving from the mobile phone makers.

Blackberry user Adrienne_Bailon said on Twitter: "Blackberry outage??? Really?! Wtf?! UGH!" and MichelleAshlee tweeted: "Turns out Blackberry is just broken. Not my phone, but RIM itself. After a good year, you're letting me down."
