Preview: Arsenal will look to improve on their poor start to the Premier League season with a win away at Blackburn in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off.

The two sides have just one win between them all season and manager Arsene Wenger is aware his side can't afford to slip-up at Ewood Park if they harbour realistic expectations of mounting a title challenge.

Wenger's side recovered from the 8-2 humiliation against Manchester United to claim their first league win against Swansea last weekend.

But Wenger acknowledges Arsenal need to improve in key areas if they are to challenge Manchester United and City for the title.

"We feel we have turned the corner, but we will be judged by the consistency of our results," he said.

"Inside the club, we feel we are on the right track, the spirit in the team is good, strong and together.

"We want to change the scepticism around us, but that will only be if we are consistent with our results."

The Frenchman will give a late fitness test to midfielder Aaron Ramsey who is struggling with an ankle injury but Alex Song and Gervinho are available after three-match bans.

"Let's get result after result, stick together and not talk too much," he added.

"We must win. We live in an environment that questions us when we don't win. We do not criticise that and have to live with that. We have to show performances, consistency and attitude quality."

Defender Carl Jenkinson returns after serving a one-match ban, but Tomas Rosicky (knee) and Ryo Miyachi (calf) are both doubtful. Thomas Vermaelen, Jack Wilshire and Abou Diaby are longer-term injury concerns.

Blackburn are still chasing their first win of the season, as pressure intensifies on manager Steve Kean.

Planned protests are scheduled to take place outside Ewood Park; with club owners Venky's urging fans to "lend their full support to the team".

Junior Hoilett and Chris Samba are both expected to be fit after both suffered injuries in the draw at Fulham but David Dunn (calf), Ryan Nelson (knee) and Morten Gamst Pedersen (thigh) face late fitness tests.

Rovers have one just once in nine Premier League home games but Kean insists he is not feeling the pressure.

"I understand their [the fans] frustration as I've been frustrated myself and the players too.

"We feel that we have played well enough to have more points so we all share that frustration.

"What we need is for everyone to stick with us and give us their backing. There have been a couple of frustrating results, although the performances have been good in parts and we've just got to put it together for 90 minutes."
