If dealing with Bobbi Kristina's comatose condition wasn't stressful enough, the beleaguered Brown family has been hit with another crisis.

The 22-year-old reality star's cousin Jerod Brown was reportedly arrested on 23 March in Atlanta after he was pulled over by an officer who said he detected "the distinct odour of marijuana" coming from his car.

According to an incident report, Jerod told the on-duty officer that he had a Georgia license but did not have it with him at the time. He also allegedly falsely represented himself to the police, saying that his name was Jahraim Wallace Reid.

Further investigation revealed that there was an outstanding warrant out for his arrest in Gwinnett County, Georgia, stemming from an earlier incident. He was subsequently taken into custody.

Earlier in March, Jerod, who goes by the stage name YF Kennedy, paid tribute to his young relative in his new single #PrayForBK, which was accompanied by a music video. In his new album, he sings about the love he has for the only daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, as she remains in a medically-induced coma.

The 27-year-old's run-in with the law comes days after Bobbi Kristina was reportedly moved from Georgia's Emory University Hospital to an undisclosed facility nearby where she is receiving treatment.

Brown has been on life support since she was found unconscious on 31 January. Her boyfriend Nick Gordon is believed to have been first on the scene and administered CPR until the ambulance arrived.

In February a family friend revealed that she had suffered seizures when doctors attempted to revive her from her comatose state. "This is a horrible setback. Everyone was hopeful that this was the sign that she'd turned the corner. We were so optimistic," the insider said at the time.

Her family are now reportedly embroiled in a feud about whether to take her off life support.
