A neighbour of Bobbi Kristina Brown has reported a domestic dispute at her home, a week before she was found face-down in a bath.

A security guard at the gated community at the townhouse in Roswell, Georgia, confirmed that a neighbour reported a fight on 23 January, and called police, Sky News reports.

The guard said the unnamed local resident reported people "hitting each other and swinging" outside the suburban home in Atlanta.

The recording of the 911 call to police has been released to the media.

From the beginning it has always been a criminal investigation."

A week later Bobbi Kristina was found, face down in a bath tub and unresponsive. Her partner Nick Gordon performed CPR until emergency services arrived at the scene.

She has since been on a life support machine in the ICU at North Fulton Hospital in Roswell.

Authorities in Roswell have been questioning people about the circumstances leading up to the discovery on 31 January at her home, but have not disclosed the nature of their investigation.

It was also reported that officials were concerned about "unexplained marks" on the 21-year-old's body. TMZ reported that it was told by multiple sources that police are looking into a "possible altercation" more than an hour before Ms Brown was found.

Bobbi Kristina's aunt, Marion "Pat" Houston, filed for a restraining order against Gordon in March 2014, according to People. Gordon is said to have "made threatening comments and posted photos of guns with the intention of making (her) fearful for her personal safety," according to E! Online.

Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant said in an email to Reuters: "From the beginning it has always been a criminal investigation."

Bobbi Kristina is the daughter of singers Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston. In tragically similar circumstances the Grammy winning singer was found drowned in a hotel bath tub in Beverly Hills, California, on 11 February, 2012.

Authorities said cocaine use and heart disease contributed to her death at age 48.

As her daughter now battles for her life, it has been speculated that Bobbi Kristina's life support machine will be turned off on the third anniversary of her mother's death, however her father has slammed false reports about his daughter's condition.
