Body of Missing Northampton Teenager Emmerson Thompson Found

The body of missing teenager has been found, police have confirmed.

15-year-old Emmerson Thompson, from Northampton, was reported missing from his family home at 2pm last Friday. He had not been seen for three days.

On Sunday, ( 3 August) police said they were "very concerned" about the youngster.

His body was reportedly discovered by members of the public at Weston Mill in the town.

In a statement, Detective Chief Inspector Mark Behan said: "Our thoughts are with Emmerson's family at this devastating time.

"I would like to thank the public for their help in the search for Emmerson, particularly those people who shared our appeal on social media sites."

A report will now be prepared for the coroner, Mr Behan added.
