It was another night of surprises. The Premier League battle at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday saw Bolton Wanderers bag a hard-earned 3-1 win over Liverpool to haul themselves out of the relegation zone.

The Trotters maintained an edge all through their campaign. Mark Davies scored the opener just four minutes into the game. And Reo Coker doubled the advantage on 29 minutes. But Craig Bellamy struck on 37 minutes giving hopes of a fightback to the Reads.

Wanderers extended their lead five minutes into the second half. The brilliant finish by defender Gretar Steinsson with a half-volley from a corner, in fact, wrapped up victory for his side. Liverpool fought hard to get back into the game since conceding a third goal but a weak forward line effectively neutralised all such efforts. The Trotters managed to move out of the bottom three thanks to the victory.
