Brad Pitt is bridging the gap between him and his eldest sons Maddox and Pax, according to reports on Wednesday (26 April). They claim the Hollywood actor has taken a huge step in mending his relationships by spending the night with his six children for the first time since his split from Angelina Jolie.

The former golden couple of Hollywood filed for divorce in September 2016, and since then there have been several reports of conflict between the Allied star and his eldest son Maddox.

"Along with their younger siblings, Maddox and Pax had an overnight visit with their father," In Touch Weekly reported. However, as advised by the family therapist, the children were accompanied by their nannies during their overnight stay with Pitt, the report added.

"The kids were in the company of two nannies employed by Angie, and the nannies also spent the night at Brad's house," a source told the website. "Initially, Brad was resisting having them there, but Angie insisted it was being recommended by the therapists, so he agreed."

The news comes almost seven months after Pitt and Jolie shocked fans and announced they were parting ways. If insiders are to be believed, the family is gradually ironing out differences, beginning with overnight stay.

Apparently, the 53-year-old actor was thrilled to be with his children. "[They] had a family dinner around the table, which Brad truly enjoyed," the source said and added, "It was total chaos, as the kids all wanted to eat different things, and Brad was grateful to have a chef who accommodated all of their requests."

An insider added that following months of therapy the family seems to be in a better place as "Maddox and Pax have both forgiven him".

With the ex-couple back in talking terms they seem to be working on deciding what is best for their children as a source told ET, "It's still in the process of being resolved."

Pitt and Jolie share six children – Maddox, 15, Shiloh, 10, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, and 8-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox.
